Lovely surroundings and pleasantly comfortable. Staff are attentive but not too much as to spoil any conversation taking place. Drinks order on arrival along with a menu. Clean and well organised. Starters and main course we're absolutely lovely. Good choice on menu. Prompt warm food. We will be back.
My Fiance and I absolutely love this place! The burgers have to be the nicest in the north, they are so juicy, thick and are full of flavour, the salad (red onion in particular) in them is unreal for some reason!!!! The double crunch chips are cooked to perfection every time. My finance recently got the Steak and Guiness pie, the flavours in it were outstanding! We've been maybe four times now and have never had a bad meal out of it or have had anything to complain about! The deserts are incredible and staff are very friendly and helpful

Has been awhile since we where here last. Easy parking at premises. Welcoming staff. Lovely warm & cozy fire to greet us. Accommodated a large party. Food excellent.
We stopped here on our way to Holywood from silent valley in the evening time. The burgers were 25% off which was a good deal (full price 15-16) and the pizza was huge. They gave us a box to take the left over pizza away with us. The wine was by the bottle only, either a full bottle or 187ml , which was OK but meant no large glass of wine for me! Cosy fire in the place and a nice bar area. Can't go wrong! Note, food orders are up to 830pm, pizza last order is 9pm Plus there's a decent enough wine shop next door, open until 9pm.

Great place. Dropped in for dinner with the family. Very attentive, approachable, and pleasant. I really do like this place. Parking is a bit difficult times. But overall a great place to eat good food.
We recently hosted an engagement party at Eight South's function room after having a meal in the restaurant a couple of times. We can not recommend both the restaurant and function facilities enough. The function room pricing was very reasonable, and the room setup was customisable to our requirements. There is a staffed bar and options for hot food. Both of which we utilised and were first class. The room is also able to host a DJ with a proper setup easily. The staff are all excellent. We comfortably managed around 100 people in this facility. It was the perfect size for this. Numerous wheelchair users in various chair sizes were also present, and the space was manageable. There is an accessible bathroom also available. There is also significant space for parking outside, but it can be busy. Not all of the parking areas have marked out spaces. Wheelchair access within the function room and restaurant is excellent. But moving between the two does require going outside and navigating a not insignificant hill. Overall, I would highly recommend Eight South for the restaurant and for events!
